At this year’s CES, Volkswagen is showcasing its new all-electric vehicle platform with the BUDD-e, a zero-emissions vehicle inspired by classic Volkswagen vans, capable of driving 233 miles and able to seamlessly integrate with the Internet of Things (IoT). VW says its new Modular Electric Toolkit (MEB), on which the BUDD-e is based, “heralds a fundamental change in electric cars and ushers in a revolution in automotive technology, leaving today’s fossil-fuel powered internal combustion engines and drivetrains in the past.”
